Born and raised in Hempstead, NY, Suhailah grew up watching her father perform as a master barber. By the age of 7 she had taught herself various braiding techniques with hopes of one day working alongside her family.
In 2016 SuhStudios was officially incorporated and Suhailah began focusing her energy full time for a career in fashion, traveling to all the major runway markets including NY, Milan, and Paris. By 2018, she could be found working backstage at shows for top brands such as Louis Vuitton, Saint Laurent, Alexander Wang, Rick Owens, Lanvin, Tom Ford, and Alberta Ferretti. Since then, Suhailah's artistry can be found gracing the pages of Vogue Italia, L'Officiel Thailand, Harpers Bazaar Hong Kong, Issue Official, and ELLE US. Wali's unstoppable ascent and out of the box creativity has been recognized by and affiliated with global campaigns for brands such as Tiffany & Co, FENTY, Hugo Boss, and ZARA Kids. Suhailah's range and versatility with hair has brought her to work with public figures for events and red carpets including the 2019 MET Gala, the VMAs, the CFDAs, and Swarovski.
